Adrenal FatigueThe thyroid and adrenal glands are critical to overall health maintenance. A healthy thyroid produces two important hormones, T3 and T4, which help regulate body weight and stabilize the circulatory system. Properly functioning adrenal glands secrete hormones responsible for stress response and the maintenance of healthy salt and water balances in the body.8 In concert, healthy thyroid and adrenals help regulate metabolic rates, maintain adequate amounts of energy, and allow the body to experience healthy, revitalizing sleep.

Thyroid dysfunction may noticeably reduce a patient’s quality of life. Hyperthyroidism, also known as overactive thyroid, is caused by excess production of the critical hormones mentioned above. This disorder often results in rapid or irregular heartbeat, anxiety, trouble sleeping, and trembling in the hands and feet.10 In contrast, hypothyroidism is the result of inadequate production of these same hormones. Symptoms of hypothyroidism may include weight gain, constipation, depression, and fatigue.11

Adrenal dysfunction, also known as adrenal fatigue, can also have negative effects. Often resulting from prolonged periods of stress or chronic illness, symptoms of adrenal fatigue may include perpetual exhaustion, loss of energy, moodiness, hair loss, weight gain, an inability to handle stress, and increased environmental sensitivities.12

Our pharmacists understand that thyroid and adrenal issues can be challenging, and we are focused on addressing your individual needs. Customizable treatment options, sustained-release T3 preparations, and unique dietary supplements may help address hormonal imbalance.13

We look forward to helping you achieve optimal hormonal health.
